Back home, it is now more difficult to fill the blog. However, don't worry, like this big oak that started from a small seed, many projects are growing (website, distant plateform, .DVD...) . More
details in a further issue.

Friday has been entierely dedicated to the presentation to the locals
At 6.OO pm, 60 persons very motivated assisted to the presentation, all translated in Swedish by the swedish students. the groups have also modified their slides, to produce something more personal
and related to the place
the result was incredible, and after more than one hour speech, people asked many questions and started to debate betwween them, a good demonstration that the work has been appreciated a lot
Then Nini offers us a glog, and the dinner permeitted us to continue the discussion in small groups.
Around, 9.00 pm, sudenly the lights switched off and in a huge noise, a phantom appeared, because it was halloween and he delivered the diplomas to all who had helped us and to the students
I cannot give your more details now, because this saturday morning, we have to conclude the course and kleave in a hurry but just notice that after this ceremony, students started to sing
and play guitar with the help of MAtej and Kenneth with his banjo
the rest is another adventure
more details in a further issue when I will be back home beecause it is too hard to conclude after all these intense moments

At 2.00 pm, we left Pagelsborg to join the Municipality building in Ronneby for the official final presentation in front of the Politicians.
the Meeting's room before the
presentation
Students were a bit stressed but in a good state of feelings as you can see
Then Roland introduced the course and the show started (in English)
After the presentation, the Major and the chair man insisted on the quality of the student's work that was great and they agreed a lot on this idea of creating the "Braknean basket" of typical
products of the valley. We hope that this work can be usefull for this region that has welcame us so firendly.
After the coffee brake offered by the municipality, we came back home and now we will start to prepare the second presentation (in Swedish)

The day started by a presentation of Matts film about Braknean river valley, that he has produced for Swedish TV . Unfortunaltly the interviews were in swedish however, we caught a good feeling
of the friendly discussions.
It gives us the wish to see as soon as possble what he will do with all the material that he has taken during these days
After this break, the groups continued to prepare their presentation It has been difficult for them to succeed in gathering all the products in a 10 mn presentations however, after
some difficult cuts, they succeeded.

The day started by two very motivating lectures from Cecil (Territorial branding) and Leifh (local heritage in Braknean valley)

THen, the groups started to prepare the presentation of their work, planned to be exposed at 4.00 pm
the groups worked hard and were ready at time. The major of Ronneby assisted to the presentation and a discussion started with him with very rich exchanges It was very pleasant to see how the
student's work has served as a basis for a serious discussion about the future of this place
After these intense hours of work, we were very relax to appreciate the wild boar meal prepared by Ninni's father specially for us.
An other intense day that ended with Matej guitar play.

After this first week dedicated to the discovery of the inhabitants, now the students have started to work by themselves. Fortunatly, the weather was nice in the morning and each group has
been able to explore its territory and to meet people.
The group "which
challenge for agriculture" meeting a farmer producing organic vegetables
Late in the afternoon, Kenneth Olwig (landscape conception in Nordic countries, related to the European Landscape convention) and Janez Pirnat (clear cutting or not in forests?) presented
a lecture . A good way to take enough distance with the local situation and to think about our scenarios for this place
Janez discuting about forestry after his lecture
Kenneth relaxing after his lecture
After the dinner, Kenneth and his friend present us a music show relating music and landscape in an unusual way that brought some fresh ideas after these intense days. However, the work must go on
and we continued to work by groups till 11.00 pm.

Sunday was dedicated to contacts and exchange with the local association that had
organised a specific day. After a ceremony at the church and a coffee time , all went outside for visiting some restorations made by people along the river (mills, "water fall", foot trails....)
many actions that reestablish a connection between the river and the village.
During the afternoon, despite the heavy rain that felt all the day, we split the student group in 2 units and each one participated to a practical work , opening a landscape window close to a
medieval ruined mill or burning branches along the river bank
After a little break to put dry clothes we finished the day by a dinner cooked by the members of the association and after that incredible day, we found enough energy to work by groups in order to
organise the field work

Saterday evening, it was the international dinner. Each student and professor had brought with him some specialities and has promoted it.
Some needed to cook before, you can seen the Slovenian in work and Jean François defending his Serrano jamon against the invaders
At 8.00 pm, all were gathered around the nice international table
And with our guests, we started to share opinions and feelings encouraged by these uncredible dishes
And at the end, as usual, Matej, the guitar man started to sing, the now famous "Roland on the rive song"

the afternoon was free and many went in Karlscrona and every body came back early to prepare the international meal
