Became an insider - living as part of the landscape

  
Coming from Switzerland the swiss-portugaise couple Cathrine Henke Jose Cid live in a traditional countryhouse near to Montemor since more than 20 years. Their symbiosis with their surrounding landscape is a rare and extraordinary positive example. They prouved that even for intellectuells is possible to resettle in a rural landscape and live with the nature in a way that keep the tradional land uses alive and give a very insiring atmoshere for an artist. All small details of the house and the landcape of the oliviers and montado are part of this harmoniuos living.

The cheminee and the door are good  examples of  the local characteristics.


The limon pie made with the lemon growing in front of the house signify the the deep roots in the landscape.
