European friendship
After a hard work in the morning in order to continue our study on the Dragonja valley landscape, students had a free afternoon to enjoy the Istria region and its productions.
This type of work with European students is very interesting to share our knowledge. Sometimes there are few difficulties to combine all points of view, all conceptions of the landscape. Landscape architects, foresters, agronomists feel the territory and try to describe with pictures, drawings, GIS maps their perception of this region of Slovenia.
During the afternoon we were separated in two groups to visit the coast and hills near our area. We visited Piran, a little harbour with a very beautiful architecture.
After these visits, we had dinner in a traditional restaurant in Kubed. We ate traditional Slovenian food: a big plate with smoked sausages, dry ham and cheese to start, we continued the dinner with sausages, potatoes, scalops and cabbage. 
A young guy from the village came to us and began to play accordion, the ambiance was very friendly. 
Students from Slovenia, Sweden, Portugal and France song lots of traditionnal and popular songs, ( Jeanneton, Ah le petit vin blanc, c'était le temps des fleurs, kolkor kapljic tolko let, trzinka, en hribcek bom kupil, ....).
