Hungary
Recent process linked to the entrance in UE
- Express the social transformation and way of living (blocks of flats to more little habitations 2 or 3 levels)

Peri-urban process does not really exist
- Cities and countryside are very close due to country size
- Living in the city is a sign social improvement
- Persistence of a negative consideration of the rural society
- Dropout approach in a natural environment
Portugal
This process exists for about 15 years
- Linked to agriculture decrease
- Transformation of the type of building (collectives building to individual houses)
- Transformation of the urban structure (anarchic spreading)
- Lack of management of urban policies
Sweden
This process does not exists
- Planning regulation manage the increase of cities
- Cities and countryside are side by side
- Yearning for natural way of life more than in countryside
- Phenomenon punctual of urban spreading is very far from the centre but well connecting

This process started during the end of 70’s and have been supporting by the state and territory management policy

Conclusion:
The question of peri-urban is tackle relating to History and cultural fundaments of our different countries. North of Europe outstanding by the wilderness (Sweden and other Anglo-Saxon countries), Latin area outstanding by a new lifestyle, countryside and individual houses with garden (Portugal and France). Since their entrance in UE, Countries of East of Europe seams to pass through a mutation of their political systems and their agricultural structures to adopt a new life model, the occidental peri-urban spaces. Those differences heritages and changes produce different landscape forms.
